This project was for the athletic center addition to an existing prestigious school, the challenge at this project is logistics and the safety of the students. The equipment provided by DJ Wagner included: A Make-Up Air unit, Gravity Vents, Louvers, 8 Rooftop units, 3 Air Handers, 1 Pool unit for the crewing tank room, 2- 3.5 million BTU Gas fired Hi efficiency Boilers, VAV boxes Radiators and miscellaneous water and electric heaters. The project had some constructibility and coordination challenges for the gym and riser shafts. We were also challenged to demolish the existing boiler room to make way for the addition, yet continue to provide heat to the existing occupied building using a portable steam to water generator and temporarily piping the existing building underground. In addition stringent LEED requirements and anti-microbial duct was used.
