Each summer The Wagner’s host their Annual Horseshoe Tournament. It’s a tradition that has been going on for over 20 years filled with D.J. Wagner families, friends and neighbors – an all around great day!
Not to say each year isn’t, but this year’s tournament was particularly special. After a long day of double elimination, a winner emerged from the nearly 50 teams in the tournament and the champions were crowned! Matt and Doug outlasted the competition but the magic wasn’t in the late night shoe tossing. Instead it was the moment they donated they’re winnings towards a charitable cause. Matt and Doug’s donation was truly generous. The winnings along with donations collected throughout the day went directly towards a replacement cooling tower for St. John of God Community Services’ campus in Westville, NJ.
St. John of God Community Services provides several programs for people with disabilites including educational, therapeutic and vocational offerings. The D.J. Wagner Annual Golf Outing is a benefit for St. John of God’s Early Intervention Program which offers essential services for toddlers with disabilities.
